Mr. Wong is a veteran in HK/China equity market with 14 years experience in equity business, equities sales and research as well as investment management. Throughout his career, he has held various senior positions at leading financial houses which include Head of HK/China Research & Sales at Credit Suisse, Head of HK/China Research & Sales at BofAML; and Head of Regional Oil & Gas research at UBS. Besides his extensive experiences in top tier sell-side houses, he was also a Portfolio Manager at Och-Ziff from 2008-2009. Mr. Wong received a Master in Finance from the London Business School.
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wong has 16 year experience of equity business, ranging from sales, investment banking and private equity investment investments. Most recently he served as Head of Asia Ex-Japan Equity Distribution at Nomura since 2013, and prior to that he was Head of Greater China Equity Sales at Merrill Lynch since 2009, where he led the #1 ranked HK/CN equity sales team in Institutional Investor for 3 consecutive years. Previously, he also worked at Citigroup global markets and Credit Suisse First Boston as HK/China Equity Sales and research analyst. He was ranked #1 HK/China equity sales by Asia Money for 2007 and 2008. During his career in investment banking, Mr. Wong has consistently led and driven HK/China primary and secondary equity capital market transactions.
Head of Trading
Mr. Lu has 14 years of experience in Greater China client trading & execution of cash equities products. Prior to joining Optimas, he was the co-team-leader of the China Client Trading Team based in HK at Credit Suisse and oversaw major greater China accounts. Before that, Mr. Lu also worked in UBS in global capital markets, managed derivative product development and provided equity sales & trading functions to institutional investors.
Academically, Max graduated with a First-Class Honours BEng degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
Mr. Ching has 10 years of experience in consumer equity research with focus in Hong Kong/China. Prior to joining Optimas, Mr. Ching was the head of Greater China Consumer Team at Credit Suisse from 2016 to 2017. Before that he was covering Consumer in BofA Merrill Lynch (2008 –2016) and Bear Stearns (2008). Mr. Ching holds a Master of Finance degree from City University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Zhou has 8 years of experience in equity research, prior to joining Optimas, he served as the Head of Hong Kong/China Internet Research at Credit Suisse, leading #1 ranked team in the Institutional Investor for 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, Evan was Internet Analyst at J.P. Morgan and participated the IPOs of 13 China TMT companies including Alibaba, Baidu, JD.com, NetEase, Ctrip, Weibo, VIP and etc. Mr. Zhou holds a MBA degree from Columbia University Business School. Prior to MBA, Evan worked at Oracle for 5 years as a lead project manager.
Ms. Chen has 6 years of experience in equity research specializing in China Oil & Gas and Banking sector. She held positions as VP, research analyst of China Oil & Gas at Credit Suisse (2013-2016); research analyst of China Oil & Gas at BofAML (2012-2013); research analyst of Chinese Banks at Samsung Securities (2010-2012). Ms. Chen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree major in Economics.

Mr. Chen has 7 years of experience in equity research specializing in Commodity and Industrial sector. He led the China Basic Materials team in UBS before joining Optimas, and also covered Coal and petrochemicals sectors since 2011, ranking top 2 in this category in Institutional Investor. Before UBS, he covered Industrial sector at Cohen and Steers Capital for from Middlebury College, VT, US with one year. Mr. Chen holds a Master of Science degree from Columbia University in New York, and gets his Bachelor degree from Zhejiang University and Hong Kong University with major in Economics and Finance.

Mr. Jiang has over 20 years of M&A and corporate finance experience. Most recently, he served various senior roles in leading investment banks, including Managing Director/Asia Head of Natural Resources Group for Deutsche Bank, and Managing Director/China Head of M&A for Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, Mr. Jiang held a number of senior management positions in the energy industry, including Senior M&A Director, Assistant CFO and Joint Company Secretary for CNOOC Ltd. Mr. Jiang holds a MBA degree from Kelly School of Business, Indiana University, Master degree in Energy Management and Economics from Mattei School in Milan, Italy, and Bachelor degree in Law from China University of Political Science and Law.
Ms. Geng has 10 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Prior to joining Optimas, she was an Investment Executive at XIO Group, focusing on investments in the Consumer and TMT sectors. Prior to that, Ms. Geng worked in the IBD at Goldman Sachs, UBS, and Lazard. Ms. Geng holds a MBA degree from Columbia University Business School and a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Hong Kong.
Senior Advisor, Investment Committee Member
Dr. Liu has both solid technical background and strong business expertise with more than 10 years of management experience in product development, marketing, strategic planning and M&A in semiconductor, new energy, electrical equipment and consumer electronics industries. He was VP of global marketing and strategy at Yingli Green Energy (NYSE-listed). He also served as Strategy Director of China Energy Division at Schneider Electric. Before that, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey and a scientist with IBM Semiconductor R&D. Prior to his current position, he was a Managing Director of CGP Tech Fund, a PE fundfocused on semiconductor and related industries. Dr. Liu has a PhD of Materials Science and Engineering and Master of ElectricalEngineering from Stanford University and Bachelor of Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University.
Dr. Liang has in-depth knowledge of semi-conductor sector. He previously worked at CGP Tech Fund, a PE fund focused on semi-conductor and related industries, and has led a number of cross-border investments. Dr. Liang has a PhD of Electrical Engineering from University of Alberta, Canada, and Bachelor of Microelectronics from Tsinghua University.
